I HATE TO LOVE YOU

OK I've been watching Over There on FX. I hate to love it. I'm addicted to this show. I hate that I'm addicted, because I end up crying everytime I watch the show. There is a sense of truth to the show. We all know that everything they do on the show is not true or over done. However this is Hollywood and they have to spice things up. That being said it really does give one a small sense of what could happen or does happen during war. War is not pretty and it pretty much sucks. You lose team members and friends. You get hurt and keep on trucking. After watching the show last night I come to realize that no matter what nationally we are or where we come from, we all human trying to find our way through life. Trying to figure out where we fit in this world. Some of us have different ways of trying to figure this out, we have religion, world events, personal experiences, family and friends that all come into play. We are all capable of doing wonderful things and becoming wonderful compassionate people and the flip side we are all also capable of becoming horrible, mean and hatred driven people. I guess what I'm trying to get to is we all need to step back and take a look into what drives us, what makes us do the things we do, then use this drive and information for the greater good of the world. My prayers also go out to all the victims of Katrina. Please give what you can give to your choice of charity. Here is one that I discovered yesterday while shopping at Petco
Hurricane Katrina Emergency "Round Up" Fundraiser
During an emergency "Round Up" fundraiser now through September 11, 2005, each time you make a purchase at a PETCO store, we'll ask you to Round Up your purchase to the next highest dollar - and we will donate that difference to the PETCO Foundation. All proceeds go to the PETCO Foundation to support animal welfare disaster relief needs within the Gulf Coast region. Or make an online donation to the PETCO Foundation now.

The Round Up fundraiser may be extended depending on the need and the amount raised. The PETCO Foundation has already provided more than $100,000 worth of assistance to animal welfare agencies in the wake of last year's hurricanes. The PETCO Foundation assists with Disaster Response teams from the Humane Society of the United States and the American Humane Association to address the critical animal needs created by the recent weather events. Together we will make a difference.

Help out an animal for they all help us in times of need.
P.S if you know of any other charities please let me know in my comments, so I can continue to post them for all my readers to see.

Again remember we are all human and if we can't help each other who will.

Peace and Love

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU

Ok we had Curtis's birthday party early so my husband could be here for that. However his Birthday is the 27th of Aug. I couldn't just not do anything on his actual birthday so, I bought a slice of cake and let him blow out a candle. I also saved the card my husband and I got for him until the 27th also. All went well and he really enjoyed the cake.
Happy birthday baby boy of mine. Today you are 3.
